Things are Getting Strange in Hawkins

It’s “spooky season” and that means re-watching some of my favorite ghoulish tv shows and movies. Stranger Things is definitely on that list with some cult classics. It’s hard to believe, but things will be wrapping up in the weird city of Hawkins in late 2025.

The final season is set to release on November 26, 2025, but only the first half of the season will drop at that time. The second half will come out on December 25, 2025, and the final episode will air on December 31, 2025. Netflix is probably bumping Things to the end of the year to have a strong Q4. I get it – but not having at least one episode released on Halloween seems like a miss. Come on Netflix, just give us a taste.

No doubt my anticipation for the show is high, but I forget a lot of what happened over the last four seasons. Remember, Things came out in 2016 and the fourth season aired in 2022. If you are feeling a bit lost – like I was – this article is for you.

Recapping, Not Capping

A couple of my favorite YouTube channels is New Rockstars because they do a great job of breaking things down in a way that helps you make sense of things. Below are their breakdowns of season 2 through 4.

What Should We Expect?

The more theories I read, it seems like Vecna is the father of Eleven and therefore has a score to settle with her. I’m not sure if we are going to get the classic Empire Strikes Back version of Vecna telling Eleven his secret, but if we know anything, the writers and directors love throwing in as many 80s references as they can.
